Reacting to the Queer Film Festival

I find it remarkable and humorous that a man who is the president of a group called "Christ or Chaos" does not use Christ's teachings to back up his condemnation of gay and lesbian students and the film festival here at Notre Dame. Mr. Drolesky, your use of the Immaculate Conception, Mary and teachings from Genesis and Exodus completely ignore the Christ whose message offers salvation and grace. Never did Jesus condemn homosexuality, because in a world full of hatred and bigotry, whom you choose to love is a non-issue. Instead, it is how you love them, and trying to live your life with peace, compassion and equality. Maybe you should take a look at what Christ says before you try to defend his message, specifically, "Let those without sin throw the first stone" (John 8:7) and most importantly, "Love thy neighbor as thyself" (Matthew 22:39). Live your life in accordance with God's plan for you, and allow others to do the same. And please do me a favor and keep your hateful, bigoted, incoherent rhetoric to yourself.
