ND loses a GREAT ONE from the football family

Irish family lose great lineman. Former ND great, Raymond E. Lemek passed away at the age of 71 on Saturday. Lemek was one of the great offensive lineman who starred under the legendary coach Frank Leahy in 1953. In 1955, Ray Lemek, captained the Irish to a 8-2 season, along with legend Paul Hornung. Lemek who hails from Sioux City, IA, played along former Irish great - Paul Hornung. Lemek was drafted by the Washington Redskins and retired from the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers after 9 yrs. Services will be at Holy Cross at a later date.
