McGlinn hosts meal of nations Sunday

Sam Davis | Friday, October 5, 2007

McGlinn Hall hosts its annual Meal of Nations in LaFortune from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The Meal of Nations is a food tasting of different international cuisines. This year’s event will also feature performances by on-campus student groups VSAND (Vietnamese Student Association of Notre Dame) and FASO (Filipino-American Student Organization). All proceeds from the event go to benefit the Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Hondo Valle, in the Dominican Republic.

McGlinn Hall Multicultural Commissioner Lai-Nin Wan urged students to attend.

“The best part [is] the performances we’re going to have, and the most challenging part is getting the word out – it’s hard encouraging people to come on a Sunday, but it’s going to be for a good cause,” she said in an e-mail Thursday.
