The members of the Junior Class Council have been hard at work, following in the footsteps of their senior counterparts.
The group planned a variety of events for the first half of the year, ranging from making care packages for friends studying abroad to holding a rosary at the Grotto. Their biggest fundraiser was the Car Smash Bash, according to president Kim Kyrouac.
"We charged participants to hit a car that had been donated from a salvage yard," she said. "Depending on the amount of money the student donated, they had their choice of using a sledgehammer, baseball bat, or hammer."
For the spring semester the council has planned a trip to Chicago and a Spirituality Retreat, as well as many other events.
