Residence Hall Association plans events

Saint Mary's Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the only student government board at the College that is connected to a national organization, RHA president Maura Clougherty said, and as such, it communicates with other colleges in Indiana and throughout the country about programs and event ideas.

Saint Mary's is hosting a conference for the RHA the first time this year. There will be universities represented from all over Indiana, with more than 100 student leaders. The event will be taking place early February 2009. RHA, with 26 members and two advisors, exists to facilitate discussion between each residence hall on Saint Mary's campus.

RHA will host events including the Saint Mary's All School Formal and Little Sibs weekend.

The RHAs Little Sibs weekend is when Saint Mary's students get to show younger siblings and cousins their school.

For the holiday season the RHA adopts a family for the 12 days of Christmas. Each hall is given a child to adopt from the family.

RHA plans to hold its annual Go Belles Tailgate during a softball game later in the year. The tailgate includes a picnic style dinner, alcohol safety education and "mocktails."
