Senate to present on off-campus safety

 Student Senate unanimously approved the topic for student government’s presentation to the Board of Trustees, which will take place next Thursday. Student government will present on the issue of off-campus safety.

The goal of the presentation is to inform the Board of Trustees about how off-campus safety concerns are affecting Notre Dame students, and to ask for help with an issue that is beyond the scope student government’s resources.
 
Student body vice president Cynthia Weber said she plans to tell the Board that off-campus safety is an issue for students and to show the Board members research on possible long-term and short-term solutions. 
 
Student body president Grant Schmidt, Weber and chief of staff Ryan Brellenthin will represent student government in the meeting next week.
