Football Photo Gallery: Brian Kelly hired

Brian Kelly was formally introduced as Notre Dame's head football coach at a press conference Friday, less than two weeks after the firing of former coach Charlie Weis.

"Nobody does it like Notre Dame," Kelly said. "There's a chapel in every dorm, and there's a leader around every corner, and we will cultivate that leadership here at Notre Dame, and we will continue to move towards excellence both in the classroom and on the football field."

Kelly spent the last three seasons as head coach at Cincinnati, leading the Bearcats to a 12-0 record this season. Cincinnati will play Florida in the Sugar Bowl Jan. 3, but Kelly will not coach the game.

Kelly previously held head coaching positions at Central Michigan and Grand Valley State.
