NEW ORLEANS — No. 11 Old Dominion rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to upset No. 6 Notre Dame, sending the Irish home in the NCAA Tournament's first round with a 51-50 loss. The Monarchs' 2-3 defense held Luke Harangody to four points, and the Irish couldn't take advantage of jump shot opportunities. Notre Dame shot 31 percent from the field and made just 2-of-12 3-pointers in the half. Guard Ben Hansbrough's 17 points led the Irish, and forward Carleton Scott — whose potential game-tying 3-pointer rimmed out with seconds remaining — scored 14 points and added 10 rebounds.
