Fourteen former Irish players worked out for NFL scouts Tuesday afternoon at the Loftus Sports Center.

The athletes ran the 40-yard dash and performed a variety of agility and position-specific drills throughout the day.

Twelve players from the 2009 team attended the workouts: wide receivers Golden Tate and Robby Parris; offensive linemen Sam Young, Paul Duncan and Eric Olsen; defensive lineman Morrice Richardson; running back James Aldridge; linebackers Scott Smith and Toryan Smith and defensive backs Kyle McCarthy, Sergio Brown and Raeshon McNeil.

Wide receiver David Grimes and fullback Asaph Schwapp, who played for the Irish in 2008, also worked out for scouts.

Former Irish quarterback Jimmy Clausen attended Pro Day but did not participate.
