Student crashes College golf cart

At approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday, a student employee at Saint Mary's College lost control of a College-owned golf cart and crashed into Angela Athletic Facility, David Gariepy, director of security at the College said.

No one was injured in the accident.

According to Gariepy, the student was attempting to park the golf cart when her foot slipped off the brake and onto the accelerator, causing her to smash into the glass door on the north side of the building.

Gariepy said the College is working to attain an estimate of the damages. No estimate is available at this time. Gariepy said the College is planning to make repairs, though no timeline has been set.
