ND Softball: Weather halts three-game series

The Irish traveled to Washington this weekend to face the Georgetown Hoyas in a three-game series. Due to weather, all three games were cancelled. No makeup date is currently set, but possible changes will be announced on UND.com if and when they are made.

Prior to this trip, Notre Dame (11-10) traveled to Fullerton, Calif., over spring break for a five-game series at the Judi Garman Classic. The squad went 2-2 in the tournament, missing the last game due to rain. The Irish triumphed 16-0 over Cal State Fullerton on March 14 and 2-0 against Iowa on March 15. That afternoon they fell 2-1 to Michigan. They closed the trip with a 7-2 loss to Washington on March 16 and a rainout cancellation against Arizona State on the 17th.

The Irish host their first home game after 21 road games Tuesday against Western Michigan at 6 p.m. at Melissa Cook Stadium.
