ND in the NFL: Florida State week

Lions running back Theo Riddick was in the middle of a productive performance as the team's leading receiver before he aggravated a hamstring injury during Detroit's 17-3 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Riddick scored the game's first touchdown on a 9-yard catch-and-run play on his way to racking up 75 receiving yards, including a 41-yard play that set up his touchdown before exiting the game.

Lions receiver Golden Tate added 44 yards on seven receptions.

Against Riddick, Tate and co., Vikings safety Robert Blanton tallied eight combined tackles. His teammate safety Harrison Smith was listed as questionable (ankle) before the game but played and posted four combined tackles.

Cardinals tight end John Carlson caught four passes for 14 yards in Arizona's 30-20 win over the Washington Redskins. Receiver Michael Floyd had four receptions for 47 yards and scored one touchdown, and running back Robert Hughes snagged one reception for seven yards.

Colts defensive back Sergio Brown totaled four combined tackles in Indianapolis' 33-28 win against the Houston Texans.

Broncos safety David Bruton recorded one tackle in Denver's 31-17 victory over the New York Jets. Also in that game, Jets cornerback Darrin Walls had four tackles.

Falcons linebacker Prince Shembo followed up several strong weeks with no tackles as Atlanta lost to the Chicago Bears, 27-13.

Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck posted three combined tackles in Oakland's 31-28 loss to the San Diego Chargers.

Steelers defensive tackles Stephon Tuitt recorded one tackle as Pittsburgh lost to the Cleveland Browns, 31-10.

Injury report

Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert (dislocated elbow) and Texans defensive end Louis Nix (knee) remain on injured reserve.

Ravens defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore is also on his team's injured reserve as he recovers from surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon suffered during the preseason.

Lions receiver TJ Jones is on Detroit's reserve/physically unable to perform list as he deals with a shoulder injury.

Cardinals tight end Troy Niklas was listed as inactive (ankle) and sat out Sunday's game against Washington. Niklas sprained his ankle last week against the Broncos.

Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph had sports hernia surgery after Minnesota lost to the New Orleans Saints in week three. Rudolph has gradually increased his activity and could return in week 11, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Friday.

Former Irish defensive tackle Ian Williams is on the San Fransisco 49ers roster for their game against the St. Louis Rams on Monday night.
