A fire sprinkler in Keough Hall deployed without the help of a fire Tuesday afternoon, flooding one room.
A Notre Dame Fire Department officer at the scene said the sprinkler went off in a dorm room. University spokesman Dennis Brown said Building Services, the Risk Management and Safety Office and the Notre Dame Fire Department worked to preserve property on the second floor and “to some extent” on the first floor.
Brown said the Risk Management and Safety Office will replace damaged items, “with hall staff providing support and assisting with immediate needs.”
