Notre Dame travels to Bloomington, Indiana, this weekend for the Dale England Cup on Lake Lemon. The event features Varsity Four and Varsity Eight competitions.
The event will be hosted by No. 16 Indiana and the field will be made up of No. 17 Duke and San Diego, along with the Irish. The scoring system awards each crew 36 points for winning First Varsity Eight, 27 for earning second place, 18 for third place and nine for fourth place; additionally, teams receive 24 points for winning First Varsity Four, 18 for second, 12 for third and six for fourth.
In past years, Notre Dame has enjoyed success at Lake Lemon, as evidenced by overall first place finishes in 2014 and 2016. The nationally-ranked competition this season poses a challenge for the Irish.
This is the final regatta of the regular season for Notre Dame, after which it will enter two weeks of preparation for the upcoming ACC championship in Clemson, South Carolina.
The regatta will take place on Thursday and Friday, with races commencing at 5 p.m. and 8 a.m., respectively, at Lake Lemon in Bloomington, Indiana.
