In the past year, the University of Notre Dame has: implemented single-stream recycling to increase the overall volume of material recycled; emphasized locally grown produce and energy efficiency in Food Services; expanded game day recycling initiatives campus wide; created an Office of Sustainability with three full-time professional staff and a $2 million green loan fund; invested $4 million to retrofit 25 buildings. And we've got a long ways to go.
