A golf cart caught fire Tuesday at approximately 5 p.m. near St. Mary's Rd.
The cause was electric, and the seat of the cart lit on fire, according to University spokesman Dennis Brown. The Notre Dame Fire Department responded and put out the flame within 15 seconds. There were no injuries.
