I felt the need to respond to April 26’s article “Reflection on the Mendoza Bubble struggle.” First off, I have been a custodian for over 30 years. Ten years at Notre Dame. This concerned me and I was very shocked to see the statement that the soap dispensers in Mendoza don’t work. And haven’t in ages. I for one work in Mendoza and have been in this building since March of last year and I assure you my soap dispensers work. I cannot stress the importance of communication. But not to tell someone because of people don't want to admit they didn’t wash their hands? I am here because I love my job and I care about everyone’s well-being. Especially the cleanliness of this building. We all have to communicate. Speak up! We are here to make this a pleasant experience for our students, workers and visitors.
