Swimming and diving to finish 2018 Season at Ohio State Invitational

Notre Dame will finish its 2018 season as the squad travels to Columbus, Ohio for the Ohio State Fall Invitational this Thursday through Saturday. The Irish will compete against ten other teams, notably Kentucky, Ohio Sate, Penn State, Stanford and Pittsburgh. The women’s team, currently ranked No. 13 nationally, will be facing off against three other ranked women’s teams in No. 2 Stanford, No. 15 Ohio State and No. 15 Kentucky. The Irish men are ranked No. 18 in the nation, and face competition in No. 10 Ohio State and No. 25 Pittsburgh.
The first day of the event, Thursday, will feature 10 swimming events — men’s and women’s 200-yard free, 500-yard free, 200-yard IM, 50-yard free and 400-yard Medley Relay — and two diving events: men’s one-meter and women’s three-meter. Friday will feature 14 swimming events — men’s and women’s 200-yard medley relay, 100-yard butterfly, 400-yard IM, 200-yard free, 100-yard breast and 800-yard free relay — and two diving events: women’s one-meter and men’s three-meter. The Invitational will be capped off with a final day featuring 12 swimming events — 1650-yard free, 200-yard back, 100-yard free, 200-yard breast, 200-yard fly and 400-yard free relay — and men’s and women’s platform diving.
