An 18-year-old freshman is in critical condition from head trauma after falling in a stairwell in Sorin College early Sunday morning, according to a media advisory issued by the University.
At about 2 a.m., the Notre Dame Fire Department arrived to administer medical attention to the student, according to the advisory. He was then transported to Memorial Hospital by the South Bend Fire Department.
The advisory said the cause of the fall is under investigation by Notre Dame Security Police.
