University President Fr. John Jenkins announced the members that will make up his Columbus murals advising committee in a press release Thursday. The committee will advise the University on how to display the murals "in the appropriate context, as well as on related issues," the release said.
Jenkins announced his intent to form the committee in his Jan. 20 letter to the Notre Dame community, when he first declared the murals would be covered.
“I will establish a committee to decide on the place to display the images of the murals and the appropriate communication around the display,” Jenkins said in the letter. “We will begin soon the making of covers for the murals.”
People who wish to contribute or advise the committee may send their comments to president@nd.edu, the release said.
