One person died and up to ten others were injured in a shooting at Kelly’s Pub — located at 1150 E. Mishawaka Ave. on South Bend’s east side — early Sunday morning, according to a report from the South Bend Tribune.
“One person has died and there are multiple others injured,” the police said in the article.
According to the article, the man killed in the incident was Brandon Williams, a 27-year-old resident of Niles, Michigan. A spokeswoman at Memorial Hospital said eight people were admitted with gunshot wounds in the aftermath of the shooting.
According to the article, the St. Joseph County Police assisted the South Bend Police Department (SBPD) in locking down the hospital after a crowd of over 100 “upset and angry citizens” from Kelly’s Pub descended on the hospital. The county police also helped the SBPD take emergency calls as the city police responded to the shooting.
