Irish fans have been waiting for this game for eight months now. Nonetheless, nobody really knows what to expect this weekend, with a new coach, new quarterback and new defensive scheme leading the way for Notre Dame.
Fortunately, Purdue has more questions to answer than the Irish do, and a susceptible Boilermakers defense will need to get used to watching Michael Floyd running away from them, a la last year's season opener against Nevada. Look for two Crist-to-Floyd connections in a fan-friendly showcase.
Final Score: Notre Dame 31, Purdue 17
