Erin Hoffmann Harding is stepping down from her position as vice president for student affairs, the University announced Thursday afternoon.
Hoffman Harding will finish her role at the end of May to return to her career in management consulting and join the education practice at McKinsey & Company, a worldwide firm where she began her career.
She began her position in August 2012. In her role, she oversaw residential life, student development, career and professional development, health and well-being and campus ministry.
Hoffmann Harding said she will miss working at Notre Dame — her alma mater.
“I have been inspired by the selfless dedication of colleagues within and beyond the division to foster the development of our students in both heart and mind, and accompany them in times of joy, growth and challenge,” Hoffmann Harding said in the press release. “It has truly been an honor to serve my alma mater.”
Under Hoffmann Harding’s leadership, the Office of Student Affairs expanded its role by establishing the Office of Student Enrichment, creating the Moreau First-Year experience program and implementing the GreeNDot program.
University President Fr. John Jenkins commended Hoffmann Harding’s work over the past nine years.
“Erin has put her heart and soul into leading the Division of Student Affairs for nine years, and I am deeply grateful to her for all she has accomplished during that time,” Jenkins said in the release.
