Szotko-Stokes win Holy Cross student body election

Bradley Szotko and Joseph Stokes were elected Thursday as the Holy Cross College student government association (SGA) president and vice president, respectively.

The pair thanked students for their support in their victory.

“We are thrilled that our message resonated with the students of Holy Cross,” Szotko and Stokes said in a statement to The Observer. “We thank everyone who came out to support us on election day, and we’re super excited to start working for all students of Holy Cross College as soon as possible.”

Szotko and Stokes both currently serve as sophomore class senators. Szotko is a business major and political science minor, while Stokes is a political science and public service major.

The duo’s campaign focused on getting the student body more involved in student government and improving student government’s communication with those students.

Szotko and Stokes believe this communication will allow for a student government that works better for all.

“We hope to create a better college for everyone, including Gateways, four-year students, athletes and commuters,” Szotko and Stokes said.

Szotko and Stokes will assume their positions this spring.
