Scene-ior Selections

Nora McGreevy, Brian Boylen, Augie Collins, Cynthia Tran and Carlos De Loera | Wednesday, May 1, 2019

Senior year feels a lot like LCD Soundsystem’s song “All My Friends.” The beat speeds up, emotions rise, time slips away faster and faster until you can barely jump up and down quickly enough to keep time to the music. All of a sudden, you’re close to the end. As their final year winds down,

Notre Dame football

Brian Boylen | Thursday, October 4, 2018

You don’t need to stay until the end of football games. While the pressure to stay has been present throughout my career here at Notre Dame, it has never been as prevalent as it is now during my senior year football season. I’m not saying anyone is holding me hostage in the student section, but

Brian Boylen | Friday, September 21, 2018

The fifth season of “BoJack Horseman” kicks off with the song “Los Ageless” off of St. Vincent’s latest album “Masseduction,” which thematically focuses on the ideas of power and temptation. This song is a perfect fit for “BoJack Horseman,” a show set in an animated version of Hollywood — a place no stranger to these concepts.

We asked you to Ask The Observer Sports Department We asked you to Ask The Observer Sports Department and you responded with the request: “Northwestern @ Notre Dame 2014 Football Breakdown”. That game was a heartbreaking loss for a Notre Dame team that had started 6-0 before stumbling down the stretch to a 7-5 record. A bowl game win over LSU salvaged some optimism for the program’s future, but that loss to Northwestern was a shocking result that contributed to one of the more appalling stretches of Irish football in the Brian Kelly era.
