Archer: S. 5, Ep. 2

Matt McMahon | Saturday, January 25, 2014

For the majority of tonight’s episode, the first in the series officially given the title “Archer Vice,” the show’s proceedings feel like necessary set-up.  A lot of exposition and groundwork, both at the new house, and on the way to and in Miami, seem to be setting the table for some elaborate plots later on

Girls: S. 3, Ep. 3

Emma Terhaar | Saturday, January 25, 2014

“It’s truly amazing that you all accomplished so little in your four years after college.” Yet another gem from Shoshanna, and a reminder why I watch this show. It never fails to remind me that there are women out there messing up even more than I am, and they aren’t even in college anymore. Sunday

Girls: Season 3, Ep. 1 & 2

Emma Terhaar | Saturday, January 25, 2014

Community: S. 5, Ep. 4 ““Cooperative Polygraphy”

Will Neal | Saturday, January 25, 2014

Community: Beginnings, Goodbyes, and Dan Harmon

Will Neal | Saturday, January 25, 2014

Last January, I wrote an article celebrating the anticipated return of the NBC’s hilarious, under-appreciated, meta-cult-classic sitcom, “Community,” as its fourth season approached. I remember obnoxiously smiling as I typed the words “’Community’ is back!” on my laptop, believing that I’d be watching my same favorite show when the long-awaited premiere would finally hit the

As Scene on TV: “Archer” S. 5, Ep. 1

Matt McMahon | Tuesday, January 14, 2014

Sterling Archer’s dream world of shady reconnaissance, world traveling, borderline alcoholism, and free rides couldn’t last forever.  Aided by his complex relationship with his mom/boss, who consistently wavers between enabling and mistreating, Archer was able to keep it up for a while.  But, of course, it had to come to an end at some point.
