Irish baseball concludes road stretch with mixed results

Tyler Reidy | Tuesday, March 21, 2023

Notre Dame baseball saw a little bit of everything over the last week and a half. Playing through shootouts, blowouts and nail-biters, the Irish posted an even 4-4 record during spring break. To say it has been a monumental year for the Notre Dame baseball team would be an understatement. The Irish posted their highest ranking for the program since 2001, eventually reaching No. 2 in Baseball America’s Top 25 after methodically rising in the polls throughout the season. They did so with a stacked schedule; the

This week, From the Archives takes a long overdue look at the history of Bengal Bouts. While this tournament predates the Observer by nearly four decades, we uncovered a selection of stories that capture at least a part of the rich history of this Notre Dame tradition.
