Joey Jegier | Friday, January 27, 2023

Discernment has not only brought joy and clarity, but it has also become the subject of my senior thesis. My research investigates the nature of discernment at Notre Dame, so I have become familiar with the theories

On snow and purpose

Reyna Lim | Friday, November 18, 2022

I have very little idea of what purpose means, but today I’m writing about it anyway. This is how I make sense of things. I’ve addressed it in this column before: purpose, meaning, being 21 and utterly confused. My dedication to seeming continually lost is less of an artistic choice, and more of a direct

Jim Moster | Wednesday, April 20, 2022

Nausea. Suffocation. Disgust. Have you ever spent time in a room and found yourself dying to leave it? Bastille’s ‘Give Me the Future’ inspires hope in uncertain times

Genevieve Coleman | Monday, February 28, 2022

“It isn’t enough.” These opening words on Bastille’s new album “Give Me The Future” instantly hooked me. It actually wouldn’t have taken much — I have been a fan of the group since their first album came out in 2013.  Bastille’s music has seen me through many of the highs and lows of my life:

To stir up

The year is 2050, and after 30 years of trials and tribulations, intense social and political reform, scientific development and the abolition of country music, society has reached a state of perfection. Climate change has been reversed, diseases (and viruses) cured, poverty eliminated and war eradicated. Sweeping advancements and revolutionary ideas have propelled all of

Post Malone is maximum Post Malone on “Hollywood’s Bleeding”

Ryan Israel | Thursday, September 12, 2019

For a brief moment there was a conversation about whether or not Post Malone would be a one-hit wonder. His hit, the spacey, basketball-themed “White Iverson,” put him on the charts in early 2016, but his potential as a rap superstar wasn’t clear. People who took a look at him, with his gnarly long hair,
