Jacob Neisewander | Monday, August 17, 2020

A Notre Dame flag adorned with the state of Arizona’s colors hangs in sophomore Vincenzo Torsiello’s Stanford dorm room. Ryan Israel | Friday, February 28, 2020

The permacloud comes to South Bend in November, stays till March or April and brings with it gloom, melancholia and seasonal depression. These meteorological conditions affect our attitudes and dispositions, and, in turn, the art we consume and create.  Archie Marshall, who performs most

Erin Swope | Monday, February 4, 2019

“Let’s do what we do best: dancing to hot jazz and drinking bootleg gin,” vocalist and emcee Michael Cunio said at Saturday night’s Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) concert, a statement that perfectly captured the mood of the evening. Featuring numerous costume changes, bottles of beer and glasses of liquor, PMJ pulled out all of the stops

Postmodern Jukebox puts a jazz spin on classic songs

Erin Swope | Thursday, September 27, 2018

Most would not wonder what “Seven Nation Army” by the White Stripes would sound like as a vintage New Orleans dirge or what “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers would sound like in 1940s Rat Pack style, but Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox, abbreviated as PMJ, is all about putting a jazz spin on modern songs like

Molly Chen | Thursday, November 2, 2017

If you’re finding it difficult to nail down Yellow Days’ genre, you’re not alone. In fact, the 18-year-old himself has said there’s no such thing as genre anymore — the absence of any one classification may be exactly what makes this artist so distinct. Joseph R. Biden has become the second Catholic President in United States history, but his position on abortion is “one that cannot be condoned” according to Rev. Robert Dowd.

“Other bishops think that, because he’s a conscientious Catholic whose faith is obviously important to him, we should strike a more positive tone, particularly at the outset of his presidency. After all, in many ways Biden’s positions are more in line with Catholic teaching than Trump’s, particularly when it comes to migrants, refugees, climate issues, poverty and inequality,” Dowd continued.
