Jimmy Thompson’s Notre Dame story started at a young age. The 6-foot, 217-pound senior linebacker from Hinsdale, Illinois, was set on the Irish from the moment he stepped into Notre Dame Stadium, and since then has never stopped pursuing the chance to run out onto that field. “I was always a huge Notre Dame fan
