NEW YORK — Notre Dame fell to Virginia Tech 87-80 in Thursday’s quarterfinal matchup of the ACC Tournament.  The teams had not seen each other since their Jan. 15 clash where the Irish gave up an eight-point second-half lead to fall 79-73 to the Hokies. Notre Dame rebounded from a disappointing home loss to No. 9 Duke by beating Miami 68-64 on Wednesday night in Coral Gables, Florida. They knocked the Hurricanes off the top of the ACC standings.  Duke held the Irish to just 43 points on 27.9% shooting from the field and 16.7% from beyond the arc Monday.

A men’s boxing tournament that benefits the Holy Cross Mission in Bangladesh, Bengal Bouts seems to perfectly combine two integral aspects of Notre Dame’s identity: a passion for sports and a commitment to social impact.
