NDPD reports armed robbery east of Notre Dame campus

In an email to the Notre Dame community, the Notre Dame Police Department (NDPD) reported an armed robbery of a University student off campus on early Saturday morning. There were no reported injuries.

The robbery reportedly occurred in a parking area of the Campus View apartment complex, located one block east from campus. The suspects, described as “two males dressed in all dark clothing,” were both armed with either a knife or a gun.

The report noted a third suspect who drove a “mid-sized SUV” which seemingly left the area by going south on Twyckenham Drive following the robbery.

This incident marks the third armed robbery of Notre Dame students at off campus locations in a week since two armed robberies were reported May 15.

In the email, NDPD said they are in contact with the South Bend Police Department (SBDP) and the St. Joseph County Police Department (SJCDP) about Saturday’s incident. They also urged anyone with information to contact the South Bend Police at 574-235-9263.
